a website for music. i'd like to listen to as many different songs from as many different genres as i can... this site serves to archive my quest, and hopefully someone will find my thoughts somewhat interesting.
note that the genre labels for each album may not be accurate because i am going off what google says, sorry.
title: Caps On, Hats Off
artist: Bossfight
genre: electronic
tracklist: Jack Russel; Be Gone Mr. Gawne; Leaving Leafwood Forest; The Cave, The Treasure; The Maze of Mayonnaise; Partyt Är Igång!; Steampunk Warlord; Pirate Manners; Milky Ways; Helmut Haunter; Commando Steve; Caps On, Hats Off; Flirt Flirt Oh It Hurts; Farbror Melker Fixar Fiskdamm (Fastbom Cover), Starship Showdown
thoughts: a nice electronic album. i first discovered "caps on, hats off" when i was like... 11? there was a roblox game i replayed a billion times that used this album as a soundtrack. i'm not a victim of nostalgia, though, i just think the songs hold up...!

thoughts: i want to kill myself after typing out all of those track names. at a whopping 31 tracks, this album is... certainly something special. it's described as a "comedic mashup-ish album" on the archive.org page i accessed it from. honestly i think that's a fair description. the track names are tasteless at times (come on, "tribal screaming?") but... well, what do you expect from something called "pisscore?" this feels like stumbling into a billion inside jokes that you only kind of understand. this is, of course, not to say that the album isn't immensely enjoyable, because it is— it's fun, it's weird, and it's mostly just loud. it's so loud. overall an interesting experience.
title: World Wide W.E.B.
artist: L.O.T.I.O.N. Multinational Corporation
genre: digital hardcore
tracklist: Hardware; Gabbert Punks on Dabs / Downed Police Helicopter; Unplugged; Killing a Dove; Head Programmer; This is L.O.T.I.O.N. Multinational Corporation; New Prosthetic Metal Arm; I.C.B.M.; Unsecured Network
thoughts: i used to be big into this album in early highschool. i remember listening to it on the bus at like 6:45 in the morning to really start the day off right. i like this album a lot but i can't listen to it as intently as i'd like because it gives me headaches (it's very noisy). still, it has an awesome electronic sound and a fascinating vibe. i enjoy it.
title: WANT
artist: 3OH!3
genre: electropop
tracklist: TAPP; PUNKBITCH; DONTTRUSTME; IMNOTYOURBOYFRIENDBABY; ICANTDOITALONE; STARSTRUKK; RICHMAN, PHOTOFINNISH; STILLAROUND; HOLLERTILLYOUPASSOUT; COLORADOSUNRISE
thoughts: unfortunately for everyone i really like this album. it's been a favorite of mine for a long, long time... it's fun and fastpaced, there's a nice contrast between some more emotional songs and the songs about partying and whatnot that i enjoy. this album has a major glaring flaw, though— that being that it's like, super misogynistic. overall i do like the album but the misogyny really does detract from my enjoyment of it. shame.
title: The Death We Seek
artist: Currents
genre: metalcore, prog metal
tracklist: The Death We Seek; Living In Tragedy; Unfamiliar; So Alone; Over And Over; Beyond This Road; Vengeance; Gone Astray; Remember Me; Guide Us Home
thoughts: i stumbled on this one on accident, through "Over And Over." then i went and listened to the whole thing in order. i like it! there's some very nice guitar in some of these tracks. nothing too special though, unfortunately.
